Transitions Part 2...

Dear CCC Family

We are excited to announce, Ryan Lucas will serve in the coming months as our Interim Youth Director.  Ryan comes to us with great energy, passion, and experience working with teens and children.  Currently, Ryan is the principal at Elk Creek Elementary School, and he has volunteered in youth ministry through Aspen Ridge Church.  Ryan will be working to help the students of CCC process in a healthy way this transition our church is currently going through.  We look forward to Ryan leading the students at Ignite on Wednesdays beginning September 2, and he, along with his fiancĂ© Kelly, will be attending CCC as well in order to help the students get plugged into the broader ministries of CCC.

This will be a temporary position that will allow the elders and student ministry leaders to evaluate and guide the next chapter of family ministry at CCC.  Please continue to be in prayer as God leads us toward a more permanent solution for our family ministry.

If you are interested in serving with Ryan under his leadership through this transition process, please join us for a leadership dinner Tuesday evening 6:30, where we will set the schedule for Ignite and hear from Ryan the vision he has for our students.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Lance and Elders

Transitions

Dear CCC Family,

We are in a season of transitions.  You received the email from Stuart this week telling of the opportunity he and Melissa are pursuing in Connecticut.  I’m sure this was surprising to you as it was to me.  We also are preparing to send Dorothy and Daniel off to sea level in a short time.  These transitions can be very overwhelming.

Over the coming months, I want you to join me in a few things.  First, we will be saying goodbye to Stuart and Melissa on August 23.  Recognizing this is going to be sad and create a range of emotions connected to grief, it is important for us to express our congratulations on their marriage, gratitude for the last year of faithful service, and wish them well in this next chapter of life and ministry.

Second, with the range of emotions that come out of grief we must turn our heart toward prayerful anticipation of what God is preparing here in Conifer.  We will be saying goodbye to two wonderful staff members, and looking ahead to who God will send our way to continue the work He is doing in this community.  We must remember that God is good, and He is faithful!

Third, let us join together and look to the vision God is reforming at CCC for His glory.  God is doing a great work through CCC and we cannot come down from that.  Let us press on in prayer, worship, study, and outreach.  September 6 and 13 I will be sharing with you some encouragement as to the future God is leading us into for His kingdom’s sake.

Until then, please join me in prayer, seeking God’s wisdom in His Kingdom work here in the Conifer area.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Lance
